A collaborative network of researchers dedicated to advancing our understanding of nitric oxide in plant biology and its applications in agriculture and biotechnology.

About the Club

Our Mission

Through organizing regular PNO meetings, our mission is to foster collaboration among researchers, share knowledge, and support early career researchers studying nitric oxide in plants.

Beyond the meetings, the PNO scientific committee is committed to publishing overarching papers on the topic, from suggesting terminology to be used (Gupta et al. 2020a), discussions on the use and future of nanotechnology (Seabra et al., 2022), writing a history of the topic (Kolbert et al., 2019), discussing relevant post-translational modifications (Gupta et al., 2020b), to looking at interorgan NO use in plants (Kolbert et al., 2024). It is hoped that these review papers will help guide and facilitate the work of those coming into the plant NO field.
